Inter Miss Out: Mario Hermoso Sign For Aston Villa

will not be joining Inter Milan.

According to FC Inter News, there has been widespread coverage in both Spanish and UK media that

the 28-year-old will be joining the Birmingham-based team.

Hermoso appears to be among the best free transfer options available for the forthcoming summer transfer window.

The contract between Atletico and the former Espanyol defender expires at the end of June. He also

has no intention of signing a new contract with the Colchoneros.

Thus, when his contract expires in a few weeks, Hermoso will be available on a free transfer.

And there hasn’t been a shortage of suitors considering the Spanish international’s calibre and high degree of expertise.

Hermoso is supposedly desired by a number of teams, including Inter.

That should come as no surprise. Over the previous few years, the Nerazzurri have made full use of

free transfer opportunities.

That’s how, to mention a few, Marcus Thuram, Andre Onana, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu arrived at Inter.

Piotr Zielinski from Napoli and Mehdi Taremi from Porto will also join Inter this summer as free
