Despite asking for £6.75 million to allow the Elland Road midfielder to depart this summer,

Leeds United has reportedly agreed to sell him permanently for a low price.

The Yorkshire team has already said goodbye to Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra for good during 2023–2024 and plans to

discharge as many of Victor Orta’s loan army as possible during the coming weeks.

Brenden Aaronson has returned to Elland Road ahead of the 2024–25 season,

while Jack Harrison is getting close to rejoining Everton on a loan. Diego Llorente is awaiting word from Roma regarding a permanent contract.

Since neither Max Wober nor Rasmus Kristensen has a repeat loan clause,

they will have to wait to find out where their careers will take them.

However, Marc Roca, a midfielder, will rejoin Real Betis in La Liga for the upcoming year.

Roca, who cost £10 million to join Leeds from Bayern Munich, had a strong debut season.

But the moment his midfield partner Tyler Adams was hurt, the Spaniard’s shortcomings were exposed.

Roca was unable to withstand the intensity and tempo of the Premier League, and he was unable to play for ninety minutes.

He was loaned to Betis last summer, and upon returning home, he found his best form in Spain.

He participated in 37 games for Betis and assisted on seven goals.

Despite initially agreeing to take him on loan, Betis is now pressing for a long-term agreement.

Leeds asked for £6.75m, according to Marca, which is less than the £10m budget.

A steal at that price, but the parties have finally settled on a payment this summer that is just £4.25 million, £2.5 million less than that.

Roca will rejoin Betis on a permanent basis rather than as a Leeds player.

Leeds owes $190 million in player transfers, although another parachute payment and the sales of Tyler Adams and Sinisterra will balance that amount.

How much of that Leeds must repay this summer is unknown.

However, Leeds needs money to lower that number, and any assistance helps.

Leeds will get nearly £4 million for the sale of Roca, a player they do not consider to be one of their own,

and his salary will also be forfeited for the upcoming campaign.

But it does imply Leeds is losing about £6 million on Roca, and that is bad from Financial Fairplay’s perspective.

The Whites require a sizable, lucrative sale—perhaps a Crysencio Summerville.
