Jackson is reportedly among the Stamford Bridge players who are upset that Mauricio Pochettino

left the team at the end of the campaign after only one season in command.

However, talkSPORT has reported that the team will turn down any bids for the forward.

Together with teammate Cole Palmer, the 22-year-old was one of just two Blues players to score

ten goals in the Premier League during the previous season.

A transfer to Bournemouth fell through some months earlier when an injury concern revealed

during

a medical caused him to join the club from Villarreal in a deal worth £35 million.

In an attempt to add more firepower this window, Chelsea and Atletico are reportedly in

negotiations over a move for star Samu Omorodion. This was reported by Mail Sport.

The 20-year-old Omorodion has drawn interest from Nottingham Forest and West Ham as

well, following an outstanding loan stint at Alaves during which he scored eight La Liga goals.

The young player is reportedly the target of major Italian teams Roma, AC Milan, and Napoli,

but Atletico Madrid is unwilling to give him away for a low price.

Jackson, on the other hand, may not be fully recovered for Chelsea’s preseason opener following

an ankle injury sustained while playing for Senegal on the international stage.

Last week in a World Cup qualifier, the forward hobbled out of the 1-1 draw against DR Congo

and missed the 1-0 win against Mauritania.

“Nicolas Jackson injured his right ankle during the Senegal-DRC match on June 6, 2024,” according

to a statement issued by the Senegalese FA.

“Radiological examinations performed on June 7 revealed a severe ankle sprain.”

Enzo Maresca, the new manager of the Blues, is hoping that Jackson will be well enough to play on

the team’s preseason trip to the United States the following month.

Maresca will be in charge of the friendlies against Celtic, Club America, Manchester City, and Real Madrid while on his first off-season tour.
