Done Deal: Mason Greenwood will join Lazio on loan with Manchester United offering a buyout option.

Mason Greenwood is being linked to Lazio by a number of English outlets,

although they would only be able to take him on loan with Manchester United’s option to buy.

The agile winger’s allegations of domestic abuse were dropped in February 2023,

although he had well-known legal issues and spent this season on loan at Getafe.

Manchester United is willing to let go of the 22-year-old, but they have set a steep asking price of €40 million.

He is attempting to revitalize his career.

The clubs involved include Juventus and Napoli, and as of late,

the Daily Mail and The Athletic have also identified Lazio.

Lazio is worried about Greenwood.
The Aquile have the lowest budget of the three and wouldn’t spend that much on a single player,

so if they were to join the conversation, it would be on loan with the possibility to purchase at most.

Under the direction of new coach Marco Baroni, the Biancocelesti must find a replacement for Felipe Anderson,

who left for Palmeiras on a free transfer.

It is unclear where Greenwood would have much room given that they still have Gustav Isaksen in a wide role and Sportitalia are hopeful a deal with Hellas Verona for Tijjani Noslin is close.
