DONE DEAL: AC Milan Sign Atletico Madrid Striker Memphis Depay On Free Transfer
In an attempt to find a striker, Milan is reportedly keeping an eye on free agency Memphis Depay
and Augsburg’s Eremedin Demirovic.
Although the Rossoneri and Joshua Zirkzee have personal terms in place and Bologna has a
€40 million release clause, it is widely known that they are unwilling to give agent Kia Joorabchian
her €15 million commission.
Gianluca Di Marzio, a transfer specialist for Sky Sport Italia, claims that they are currently searching
for less expensive options that might perhaps join Zirkzee and Luka Jovic.
Milan look at Depay and Demirovic
The first is Demirovic, a 26-year-old international player for Bosnia and Herzegovina who signed
a free agent contract with Augsburg in 2022.
His career has always been in mid-table clubs, despite the fact that he scored 15 goals and dished
out 10 assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances this season.
Despite having just one goal in 26 senior caps for his country, he has a terrible international record
and would demand €25 million.
Depay, who will be a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Atletico Madrid, is a
more plausible and less expensive choice.
The 30-year-old has a horrible injury history and has previously been linked to Italian teams, most notably Inter and Juventus. He is presently playing for the Netherlands at EURO 2024.
Memphis Depay’s parting Message to Atletico Madrid
“I want to express my gratitude to Atleti, my teammates, the staff, and most of all the fans for the enthusiasm and support I’ve had throughout my time as an Atleti player.
“I cherish the happy times I’ve had”. Thank you.
