The transfer window is now open, and Nuno Espirito Santo will have his first chance to work on his inherited squad for an extended length of time, meaning Nottingham Forest will likely be busy once more.

The forest has already cut its margins. Hugo Reyna, Divock Origi, Nuno Tavares, Gonzalo Montiel, Rodrigo Ribeiro, Wayne Hennessey, Felipe, Scott McKenna, Loic Mbe Soh, and Cheikhou Kouyate are among the players they have already let go.

Despite the fact that Forest has been hurt by the PSR regulations in the past, there is a need for recruitment in a number of squad positions. The most recent transfer rumors and decisions are listed here.

Although it casts doubt on Matt Turner’s future, Forest is set to finalize the signing of towering goalkeeper Carlos Miguel shortly as they aim to bolster their goalkeeping department after Wayne Hennessey’s departure.

Forest is said to have activated a release clause that Miguel, of Corinthians in his home Brazil, had inserted into his contract. Once the transfer is official, the keeper will cost the Reds less than £4 million, and the City Ground will see the beginning of another exciting summer of recruitment.

The 25-year-old, who started playing football for Flamengo as a youth before joining Internacional, was born in Rio de Janeiro. Miguel then had loan stints with teams in the lowest echelons of the Brazilian football pyramid, spending time at Santa Cruz and Boa Esporte, the latter of which gave him his senior football debut.

According to NottinghamshireLive, Miguel is a well regarded goalkeeper, and given his advanced age, the money being thrown around seems like a wise move. But, Forest’s larger concern is that they require clarification in the goalkeeping division.

They have signed Odysseas Vlachodimos, Dean Henderson, Keylor Navas, Matt Turner, and now Matz Sels, the latter of whom is currently first choice, since they broke back. Despite Hennessey’s departure, Forest has to get rid of the keeping department as soon as feasible this summer. You would think that Turner and Vlachodimos would be open to moves.

After a time of uncertainty and foggy thinking that has resulted in more failures than achievements, surely Forest’s pursuits of starting the new season with Sels and Miguel as one and two will finally bear fruit.

It is reported that negotiations have begun regarding Joe Worrall’s transfer to Nottingham Forest.

After Worrall was loaned to Besiktas in February, his future at the City Ground has been in doubt. The Turkish club has the option to finalize the transfer in the summer as part of the agreement.

According to Teamtalk, negotiations have begun between the Reds and Sheffield United regarding a deal for the center defender, who has been a long-term goal for the Blades since their Premier League relegation at the end of the previous campaign.

NottinghamshireLive comments: The writing appears to be on the wall, even though Worrall himself wouldn’t be eager to part with his boyhood club. In football, it is rare for a player who was loaned out because the manager thought he wasn’t in his plans to come back and push his way back. Furthermore, Worrall’s debt in Turkey was only sufficient

At just 27, playing consistently should take precedence above everything else, even if it means returning to the Championship, where Worrall has already earned promotion. He should be a player who has admirers and who may bring in a few pounds for Forest should a permanent deal be reached. Since he is an academy product, the Reds’ balance sheet would not be significantly harmed by the sheer profit in such situation.

Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Stamenic is available for £4.6 million, and Nottingham Forest is ‘working on’ signing him after seemingly beating Coventry City to the deal.

The Athletic is speculating that Forest may sign the 22-year-old as their first summer acquisition. This one, though, won’t be added to Nuno Espirito Santo’s roster straight away because, in anticipation of a successful future, he will go on loan to Olympiacos, another team controlled by Evangelos Marinakis.

Over the past two weeks, Stamenic has been connected to a move to England; however, fans of sky blue may be surprised to learn that the relocation will take place at the City Ground rather than the Coventry Building Society Arena. Although the player’s unwillingness to play in the second tier has contributed to the current situation, our sister site, Coventry Live, explains how a deal was reached after more than two weeks of interest.

According to German reports, Forest is reportedly getting close to signing St. Pauli’s Eric da Silva Moreira. At just eighteen, the young player is the focus of negotiations between Forest and his present club, with an agreement expected to be reached for a sum of approximately €1.5 million.

Although Moreira is a Portuguese and German national, he plays with the former’s youth teams. Gestifute, an agency run by Jorge Mendes, is his representative. The 17-year-old, who helped Germany win the under-17 World Cup, is apparently eager for the transfer to happen.
