Roma showing strong interest in Atletico Madrid starlet with reported €25m asking price

Atletico Madrid has stated via MD that they have no plans to sell Riquelme this summer. Although the price would have to be significantly more than €25 million for them to entertain a sale, he is not regarded as a “non-transferable” player. Los Colchoneros are not under any obligation to negotiate because of his €60 million release clause.

Roma has cooled its interest in Federico Chiesa and has eyed Rodrigo Riquelme of Atletico Madrid

It is said that Florent Ghisolfi, the Sporting Director of Giallorossi, has already communicated with

the agents of the players, and Riquelme is reportedly amenable to a potential transfer.

Diego Simeone, the manager of Atleti, is rumoured to be open to offers for Riquelme; however,

Roma would require the Spanish team to reduce their asking price.
