OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED: Mason Greenwood transfer to Brighton all but completed as personal terms agreed

Mason Greenwood of Manchester United and Brighton agree on terms to complete the deal.

Three Premier League teams have reportedly “moved to sign” Mason Greenwood away from English powerhouse Manchester United.

At the beginning of 2023, Greenwood was being charged with attempted assault and rape.

Following the withdrawal of crucial witnesses, the Crown Prosecution Service eventually dropped the case against him.

Having witnesses drastically decreased the likelihood of conviction.

Rather than going back to Manchester United prior to the 2023–2024 season,

The 22-year-old signed a loan deal with Getafe in order to revive his career in Spain and was transferred to La Liga.

Greenwood has made 33 appearances for Getafe, scoring eight goals and dishing out six assists,

making an impression on the La Liga scene.

His performance in 23/24 has stoked rumours that he is linked to a number of prestigious European teams, including Atletico Madrid,

Juventus, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund have all been mentioned as possible destinations.

A Man United return is out of the question because they “want to sell” Greenwood this summer,

according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Mason Greenwood is something that Man United wants to sell, to be clear, stated Romano.

“They could only be able to get another loan if they are unable to reach an agreement on a long-term basis.

Selling the player is their top priority.

“There’s interest in him from Spain, England, Germany, and Italy, but right now,” he continued.
