It was during his time in the Danish Superliga that he attracted the attention of FC Copenhagen.

Trott, a former England U20 international, made 31 appearances for Vejle BK last season in all categories, with eight clean sheets.

Earlier this summer, West Ham used the two-year option in Trott’s contract to extend it; however,

in light of FC Copenhagen’s interest, the team has now chosen to trade the keeper.

Trott is far lower on the West Ham hierarchy,

as Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola compete for the top slot at the London Stadium.

Trott became a member of West Ham in January 2016 and worked his way up through the academy to play on the sidelines.

Trott, 25, has only made one first-team appearance against Doncaster Rovers in January 2021.

Over the past few years, he has also enjoyed loan stints with AFC Wimbledon and Nancy, a French team.
