Sky Sport: Burnley goalie Trafford has joined Newcastle for a reported £18 million.

Burnley has received a bid from Newcastle for goalkeeper James Trafford.

The bid, which is estimated to be worth £15 million, is expected to be rejected by the relegated Clarets, although negotiations between the two teams are still ongoing.

This summer, Newcastle wants to add a goalkeeper to challenge Nick Pope for first place.

Another goalkeeper Newcastle admires is Aaron Ramsdale,

but given Newcastle’s PSR restrictions, any possible trade for the Arsenal star is probably going to be too expensive.

The Magpies want to grudgingly cash in on teenager Yankuba Minteh this summer in an effort to improve their PSR position.

During his season-long loan to Feyenoord, Arne Slot’s team, Minteh made an impressive 10 goals.

Numerous German, Italian, and Dutch teams have expressed interest in the winger, and Newcastle may be able to fetch up to £25 million for a player who hasn’t yet appeared in a first-team match.
