Rangers close to signing Hamza Igamane pending medical

This summer, Rangers are eager to welcome Hamza Igamane to Ibrox and are hoping to bolster their roster.

Oscar Cortes, Jefte, and Clinton Nsiala are already signed by the Gers,

but Philippe Clement wants to add more players to the roster.

Rangers lost ground in the race for the championship towards the close of the 2023–24 SPFL season,

ultimately finishing in second place. Next season, Clement wants his team to contend for the championship, and he requires a capable group.

The FAR Rabat player Hamza Igamane has been strongly connected to the Bears,

and the announcement of the Moroccan under-23 striker’s £1.7 million signing is imminent.

Football Scotland reports that all that is needed for the transfer to proceed is a medical.

If all goes according to plan, he will be the fourth summer signing at Ibrox.

Who else could the Rangers sign?

Rangers will probably part ways with Cyriel Dessers, who joined last summer,

if they sign the 21-year-old Moroccan.

He is regarded as a promising player in his own country and will compete for Morocco’s under-23 team at the July Olympic Games in Paris.

Igamane has made a big impression on the Ibrox scouts with his 16 goals in just two seasons for AS FAR.

Playing for a top team like the Rangers will be a significant step up for him, but it won’t be easy.

Having said that, Igamane can prove to be a valuable asset for the Bears in the future if he can calm down immediately.

In an attempt to strengthen their midfield options this summer,

the Rangers have been linked to a deal for free agent Connor Barron.

But in order to complete the transaction, the Gers will have to pay Aberdeen a little sum,

and they have presented the player with new contract terms.
