Kurt Zouma, who paid almost £30 million to join West Ham from Chelsea in the summer of 2021, got off to a great start as a Hammer.

But during the past year or two, his physical condition has declined significantly,

and West Ham is reportedly open to offers for the club captain this summer.

That should come as no surprise. During the previous season,

Zouma performed horribly for the Hammers and fell short of the demands of leading the team.

The Frenchman avoided the spotlight a lot and was usually the first player out of the tunnel following a crushing loss,

like our 5-0 thrashing of Chelsea in May.

Next season, Julen Lopetegui cannot afford to have Zouma start every game if he wants to genuinely lead us to the next level.

Perez averaged two tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 4.3 clearances, and 2.3 successful aerial duels per game in 36 Serie A games for Udinese last season.

He completed 80.3% of his throws and averaged 40.8 passes per game (Who Scored).

In addition to having all the physical qualities required for success in the Premier League, those metrics are very remarkable.

Strong as an ox, nimble on the ground, and a player who plays with such passion and dedication

that Hammers supporters will fall in love with him right away.

Kurt Zouma’s career at the London Stadium is likely to come to an end if Perez decides to join West Ham this summer. Furthermore, based on
