Why Douglas Luiz would want to leave Aston Villa has been questioned by Don Goodman.

It appears that the Brazilian midfielder will leave Villa Park this summer to join Juventus. According

to reports, he and the Serie A club came to an agreement on a four-year contract for €5 million a

season.

Villa is reportedly set to get up to €20 million in addition to players Weston McKennie and Samuel

Iling-Junior as part of the deal. However, Goodman is taken aback by Luiz’s willingness to depart

from the team, which has undergone a transformation under Unai Emery’s leadership and will

compete in the Champions League the next season after placing fourth in the Premier League the previous year.

Goodman told Villa News, “Douglas Luiz has been one of the best players at Villa since he arrived through the door.” “Why would he want to go away, in his opinion?

“He’s been a part of a really successful team and will now definitely play in the world’s best league as

well as the Champions League.”

“With all due respect, I don’t see why he would consider joining Juventus in Serie A. If I were him,

I wouldn’t be acting in that way, but I’m not.

“Perhaps there’s a chance that certain players from distant parts of the globe have a distinct mindset when it comes to leaving teams and wishing to join this team and that team.”

Three causes surround Douglas Luiz’s transfer from Aston Villa to Juventus.
