According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Fikayo Tomori is probably going to turn down any offer from Newcastle United this summer.Last week,

Football Insider disclosed that Newcastle had gotten in touch with the defender’s representatives over a possible transfer to St James’ Park.

The 26-year-old left Chelsea for Milan in 2021, and Eddie Howe’s team had made some inquiries over a potential move back to England.Tomori, though, has made it clear to his team that he does not see a move to Newcastle as an improvement over AC

Milan and that the Italian powerhouse is “a bigger club” than the Magpies.

Tomori, who left Chelsea in pursuit of more playing time, is under contract with AC Milan until 2027 and has been a consistent member of their squad ever since.

Tomori won Serie A in his debut season at Milan after joining for £25 million from West London. To date, he has made 142 appearances for the team.

The five-cap England player has also participated in 21 Champions League games and seven Europa League games.

Although his elite background raises questions about his availability, a move would be a step down from Milan given that Newcastle will not be participating in European championships the following season.

Newcastle has reached an agreement to sign Lloyd Kelly from, although they are still looking for another center-back.

Bournemouth, but Chelsea beat them to a Fulham trade for Tosin Adarabioyo.

This is in response to the long-term injuries sustained by Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman which has made depth at the back more important.
