Rangers supporters have most likely earned the right to feel a little uneasy regarding Yusuf Kabadayi’s transfer status.

Although the team has been able to conceal any potential transfers in recent seasons,

the leaks are getting worse as Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement expand their net.

Not that it’s from the Rangers side.

Reports from Sweden revealed the faltering late interest in Nathaniel Adjei,

while reports from Germany initially connected Yusuf Kabadayi with the failed interest in Jose Cordoba.

And that’s before we even include Uruguayans like Damian Garcia.

But aside from Kabadayi, all of these regrettably public endeavors have one thing in common: Rangers have,

for whatever reason, been unable to execute the movements.

Now, as tremendous pressure starts to build on the window,

some fans are gnawing their fingernails over the potential Rangers bid for the Bayern winger’s lack of movement.

In early June, Sky Sports in Germany touted Rangers as the top contender for Yusuf Kabadayi.

This occurred after the 20-year-old winger’s successful loan stay at financially

constrained Schalke 04 during the previous season ended with his return to Bayern Munich.

Reputable journalist Florian Plettenberg burned the blue touch paper,

naming the Ibrox club next to recently promoted Bundesliga team St. Pauli and Serie A team Lecce.

There has been a lot of buzz since then, including reports of Kabadayi being spotted in the UK,

but nothing solid to imply a deal is imminent.

Rangers could have to shell out anywhere from £1 million to £1.5 million to finalize a permanent deal.

Kabadayi is reportedly still engaged in confrontational negotiations

with Bayern directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, according to Der Western.

Nothing has been resolved regarding Kabadayi’s future,

with all “three options” remaining on the table: a purchase, a loan-to-buy, or a new contract and loan.

It implies that supporters of the Rangers who are anxious to witness the team fulfill its early pledge of a rebuilding will have to wait.

For what duration do you ask?

The German outlet claims that the situation could continue to worsen for a few more weeks.

So far this summer, Rangers supporters have witnessed the arrival of French defender Clinton Nsiala (AC Milan),

Colombian winger Oscar Cortes (RC Lens), and Brazilian left-back Jefte (Fluminense).

The squad needs surgery in multiple areas, and the Rangers are allegedly facing several challenges.

You can, however, pardon supporters for feeling a bit uneasy given the dearth of transfer activity and the beginning of Euro 2024.

Rangers will have a busy summer ahead of them once the tournament

distractions have passed and the competitive club play gets underway.

There will be concerns that the Rangers could be held up and then

disappointed in light of the report that Yusuf Kabadayi may still need several weeks to make up his mind.

We expect the anxiety to persist until the names are in the door and Nils Koppen’s vision for the Rangers becomes clear,

but there’s still plenty of time to do it right this window.
