It seems absurd to even be writing about a Sunderland head coach search that hasn’t been

resolved.

One week has passed when Kyril Louis-Dreyfus first acknowledged the length of the wait and stated

that the process was nearing its end, shattering the silence that has surrounded Wearside since the season started to painfully fade away. There was talk of an impending decision. Even so, this was undoubtedly an indication that we were finally getting close to the conclusion of the journey, as he
