Everton are looking at prospective replacements for defender Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the centre-back’s possible

departure this summer. Despite their points punishment, Everton avoided relegation from the Premier League this

season, finishing 15th in the league and 14 points ahead of 18th-placed Luton. Sean Dyche must now shift his

attention to the summer transfer window, where he will undoubtedly look to improve his squad and get the Toffees

back to the top half of the standings.

Everton are reportedly one of several Premier League clubs interested in acquiring Hoffenheim forward Jacob Bruun

Larsen this summer in an effort to improve their squad. The Merseysiders are reportedly close to signing Ceiran

Loney from Partick Thistle this summer, and they are willing to pay €20 million (£17 million) for former Arsenal

midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

Everton are said to have joined Italian heavyweights Juventus and Napoli in negotiating a transfer for Nice

midfielder Khephren Thuram, who has previously sparked interest from Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

At the moment, Everton’s first concern appears to be finding a suitable successor for Jarrad Branthwaite, who is

expected to leave Goodison Park in the coming months. It was claimed this week that Manchester United had

reached an agreement with the Englishman on a contract earning between £150 and 160k per week, with the Toffees

looking for roughly £65 million to part ways with their star centre-back.
