West Ham reached £33 million agreement with Atletico Madrid, sign star striker Samu Omorodion on a four year contract – Personal terms agreed

With Atletico Madrid, West Ham concluded a £33 million deal to capture star striker Samu Omorodion to a four-year contract. Personal terms were also agreed upon.

You won’t believe the amount quoted by West Ham to sign Samu Omorodion.

Samu Omorodion, a striker for Atletico Madrid, is reportedly a summer transfer target for West Ham United.

Earlier this month, the 20-year-old center forward was linked to a move to West Ham, where the Hammers are rumored to have made a £33 million approach for him.

Omorodion, who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall, has a formidable presence and the perfect profile to lead West Ham’s attack.

Typically, Julen Lopetegui uses a single central striker to serve as the hub of his team’s offensive play.

That’s exactly what Youssef En-Nesyri, another Hammers transfer target, accomplished for the 57-year-old while he was in charge of Sevilla.

For the Hammers, Michail Antonio has been excellent at accomplishing that in recent years, but the 34-year-old is unquestionably past his prime right now.

I think Lopetegui’s top goal should be to sign a long-term replacement for the Jamaican international before the new campaign begins.

Although Omorodion has the potential to fill that role, will the Hammers be able to get him this summer?

Incredible fee West Ham have been quoted for Samu Omorodion

As everyone knows, transfer fees have skyrocketed in the last ten or so years, particularly for young center-forwards.

The fact that the Hammers recently spent £25 million to acquire 18-year-old winger Luis Guilherme, who has no track record in the Premier League, tells it all.

Prices have continued to soar, with English clubs spending significantly more than any other European team, which is directly related to the Premier League’s growing popularity.

The most recent report, however, which details the price West Ham will have to pay for one of our goals, truly wins hands out.

El Desmarque reports that Atletico Madrid is asking for more than £34 million in exchange for Omorodion.

Isn’t that an absurd amount of money? Let’s be honest: in 72 senior appearances, the Spain under-21 international has only scored 27 goals.

Not horrible by any means, but he hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire either. Furthermore, the twenty-year-old has no prior experience playing in the Premier League.

Samu Omorodion is a great talent, and I would really love to see him sign with West Ham—just not for more than £34 million.

I think the young player would be worth between £20 and £25 million, but I don’t see the Hammers acquiring him this summer.
