Done deal: Atletico Madrid has completed the signing of Artem Dovbyk from Girona.

It appears that the Madrid team is prepared to fulfill the €40 million release clause necessary to acquire the outstanding Ukrainian forward, who excelled at Girona during the 2023–2024 campaign.

After an outstanding season in La Liga, Artem Dovbyk, a striker from Ukraine, is hoping to transfer in the summer. After he finished the 2023–24 season with 25 goals and 10 assists, the 26-year-old and Atletico Madrid have already reached a personal agreement. To get him to leave Girona, they’ll probably have to pay the €40 million release clause.

According to numerous sources in the Spanish capital today, Dovbyk is eager to relocate. He moved from Dnipro to Girona last summer.

He shocked a lot of people by placing third in the league with his teammates, guaranteeing that the Catalan club will play in the prestigious Champions League the next season. It is noteworthy that Girona obtained Artem Dovbyk for less than €8 million, indicating a great deal.

With five points less than Girona at the end of the season, Atletico will aspire higher the next year.
