Rangers make ‘strong offer’ and key target will decide on Ibrox move next week

Less than a month after suffering heartbreak at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup, Rangers has finalized

agreements for no fewer than three players. This is obviously not a team that is moping around in despair. Wearing

the braces and belt instead, they jumped

headfirst into the transfer market to try and assemble a team that could break Celtic’s local monopoly. Clinto

Nsiala, Oscar Cortes, and Jefte Vital have all previously signed on. Three young, really promising, technically

gifted players who will all provide depth to the left side of the pitch.

There appear to be just two contenders left in the competition to become Rangers’ fourth signing of the window. Will

it be won handily by Albion Rrahmani? Romanian rumors claim that Rangers and the 19-goal striker who was such a

revelation at Rapid Bucharest are “very close” to finalizing a deal.

The player chasing Rrahmani is Connor Barron. A

few days earlier, the Scottish Sun reported that Rangers were

prepared to intensify their pursuit and raid rival Aberdeen once more, having already lured Scott Wright and Ryan

Jack from Pittodrie to Ibrox. Next week, there might be some clarification regarding the Rrahmani agreement.

Barron is expected to make a decision regarding his own future between now and June 23rd, according to The Daily

Record. For the Scotland Under 21 international who is not under contract, Rangers has made a “strong offer.”

Rangers would have to agree on a cost with Aberdeen despite his “free-agent” status, or else the transfer would go to

a tribunal. Bologna and Hellas Verona’s interest causes additional complexities. The Serie A pair are also eager.

Bologna, who will play in the Champions League next season, have had considerable success in the past when they

have raided the Scottish Premiership, signing players like Lewis Ferguson and Aaron Hickey.
