If Idah comes back, he could open the door for Oh Hyeon-Gyu to go. The hardly sighted South Korean has ties to Belgian clubs.

Meanwhile, Kelleher is not the only focus of Celtic’s goalkeeper pursuit.

One of those that was supposedly being considered by the Premiership champions, Patrick Pentz, took himself out of the running when he signed a contract with Danish powerhouse Brondby.

Meanwhile, Michael Zetterer has extended his contract at Werder Bremen and, at the very least, is drawing praise from Manchester City. It will also take some persuasion for Ugurcan Cakir to abandon his beloved Trabzonspor.
