But if rumours are to be believed, the club is eager to bolster their star-studded roster this summer,

even with their stranglehold at the Premier League summit.

Ben Jacobs, a transfer expert, thinks that City is still Bruno Guimaraes’ most likely destination if

he decides to leave Newcastle United this summer.

The champions are reportedly the only team thinking about providing a sum in that range or

activating Guimaraes’ £100 million release clause.

According to Jacobs, City has already communicated with Guimaraes’ team, and Arsenal is eager to

get the Brazil international should the price come down.

Elsewhere, Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal has talked about activating the player’s release clause,

while Paris Saint-Germain is not believed to be aiming to sign the player this summer despite the historical interest.

According to reports, Guimaraes is content at Newcastle and isn’t pushing to leave this summer,

even though he doesn’t want to travel to Saudi Arabia.

In other news, the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne may be leaving City for the Gulf

state after bragging about the high salary one can get in the Saudi Pro League.

He stated, “For [my wife] Michele, an exotic adventure is OK,” in an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws. We are also talking about these topics more and more as a family.
