Real Madrid are the champions of not only Spain, but Europe as a whole. Currently,

they are the best club in the world and Carlo Ancelotti is certainly pleased with his squad,

praising it as the “best squad” he’s ever had the pleasure of working with.

But with the summer transfer window fast approaching, how could the Italian improve his squad?

Liverpool plot transfer swap deal involving Real Madrid star player

Well, an impossible-to-reject opportunity may have presented itself to Carlo Ancelotti in the buildup to the window.

According to a report from Nacional, Liverpool are contemplating a swap deal involving Trent Alexander-Arnold and Rodrygo.

It is believed that Liverpool could take advantage of Rodrygo’s uncertain future.

Kylian Mbappe and Endick both arrived during the summer transfer window,

making competition for spots in Real Madrid’s starting lineup HOT.

Even though Rodyrgo is more than capable of making a name for himself in the starting lineup,

he may feel as though his career is up in the air because he is now interchangeable should his form decline.

Rodrygo is an elite attacker; that much is certain.

He was actually one of Real Madrid’s most important players during their treble-winning season of 2023–2024.

It goes without saying, then, that Carlo Ancelotti would rather keep him.

However, the potential arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold is enough to tempt any manager,

regardless of how packed their squad is. It makes sense that replacing an attacker with a defender is the best option for Real Madrid,

when analysing the balance of squad at face-value.

The Englishman is known to be one of the best full-backs in the world and ageing at 25 years old,

he is the logical long-term solution for Dani Carvajal’s eventual departure.

It also works in Trent’s favour that he can play in midfield, having had experience of playing there with Jurgen Klopp.

Of course, he plays in a deep-lying midfielder role, which could be a pull factor for Carlo Ancelotti,

as he aims to fill the impossible void left by Toni Kroos’ replacement.

Alexander-Arnold has made quite the name for himself in the Premier League for his excellent range of passing.

More often than not, he has been the creative hub for Liverpool and he could easily replicate this for Real Madrid,

adding a new dimension to their build-up play.
