A former Sunderland manager may now be set for a shock move, with talks planned over his next potential job.

Since the Black Cats fired Michael Beale in February, Sunderland has been without a permanent manager, and they are presently going through a protracted hunt for their next one.
It has been over four months since Beale left Sunderland, and the club doesn’t seem any closer to appointing a new manager.

Owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus made this move after losing out on top target Will Still to RC Lens and saw backup plan Liam Rosenior withdraw from negotiations to take on the Burnley position.

It is unclear who is still in the running to succeed Sunderland as manager. However, Sunderland supporters are undoubtedly becoming weary of the hunt.

With the managerial disaster, Sunderland will undoubtedly suffer a setback in their summer preparations when the summer transfer window officially starts on June 14.

Because of this, sporting director Kristjaan Speakman is under intense criticism. According to journalist Michael Graham, Speakman can no longer salvage his reputation among Sunderland supporters.

However, it appears as though Beale might make a surprise return to the dugout as Sunderland continues to operate without a manager.
