Callum O’Hare has officially accepted to join Leeds United on a free transfer
Leeds United join race to sign Coventry City attacker Callum O’Hare
In particular, if Archie Gray or Crysencio Summerville depart the team this summer,
the Whites may be looking to boost their attacking midfield areas.
When this month’s contract expires, the 26-year-old offensive midfielder is expected to depart Coventry on a free
transfer.
O’Hare, who turned down offers from the team to extend his contract, is considering his options and is being
considered for moves by Southampton and Burnley.
After keeping tabs on the midfielder’s circumstances for some time, the Whites have entered the competition to sign
him for a free.
Other factors affect the Leeds transfer window.
This time, Leeds will be trying to get promoted automatically,
although it’s unclear how much better they can go as a team.
Next season, the Whites will play in the Championship, although they won’t have a lot of money to spend.
Their summer transfer negotiations will primarily hinge on their ability to retain players such as Summerville or
Gray, and they will also need to adhere to the EFL’s financial guidelines.
Summerville heading off Elland Road means the Whites will need attacking reinforcements. Summerville is being
pursued by a number of teams, including Brighton, Chelsea, and Liverpool, but the Dutchman isn’t pressing to leave the team.
O’Hare might be Summerville‘s ready-made substitute. It makes sense for him to sign because he can operate on the
left side or play through the middle, and he may sign for nothing.
