Tottenham have lined up a £30 million replacement for one player this summer,

coming after Brentford once targeted his signing for manager Thomas Frank.

Ange pleads for change with Spurs set for busy window

Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Tottenham, has stated that the team would need to go through

several transfer windows before they can truly compete in the Premier League,

and those windows are expected to open in the coming weeks.

According to Paul O’Keefe, Tottenham is reportedly considering bids for more than a dozen players.

The Lilywhites are also seeking to support Postecoglou by adding players to several positions on the field,

such as center back, midfield, and forward (Tom Allnutt).

Timo Werner’s loan has already been extended by one year,

and there’s reportedly an £8.5 million option to buy the German outright the following summer.

But Postecoglou’s team is far from done, as Fabrizio Romano predicts Spurs will have a busy summer transfer window.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do still on the squad and I don’t think we’re anywhere near where we want to be. It probably will take a little bit more than three windows to get there, for sure,” said Postecoglou on his current Spurs team.

“I certainly don’t think we’re one or two players away from getting to where I want us to be, nowhere near it. Some of that will be natural evolution. Some of it hopefully means we continue to get the improvement we’ve had this year from some of our players. If that happens over the next 12 months, then we’ll be in a great position.

Son Heung-min 7.30
James Maddison 7.17
Pedro Porro 7.04
Cristian Romero 7.03
Dejan Kulusevski 6.96

“But you’ve got to remember, a lot of our group are in their first year of the Premier League. A good chunk of them have been ever-presents, we need them to keep improving at the rate they are. We’ve still got a lot of work to do with the squad. I think we’re a long way away from having one or two players away from getting where we want to be.”

This summer, Tottenham is also considering adding new full-backs. The club has previously made known that Ryan Sessegnon will be departing this summer when his contract expires because he chose not to exercise his option for a one-year extension.

Tottenham line up Vanderson to replace Emerson Royal

Emerson Royal, who has fallen far below Pedro Porro in Postecoglou’s hierarchy, is also being strongly linked to leaving in the upcoming weeks.

Three years after signing from Barcelona, the 25-year-old may be spending his last summer at N17 as AC Milan is reportedly showing a lot of interest in him. Tottenham has lined up Monaco defender Vanderson, who is thought to cost over £30 million, to replace Emerson, according to GiveMeSport.

The 22-year-old scored three goals and provided an assist in 20 Ligue 1 starts for Monaco in the previous season. According to GMS, Brentford had their eye on Vanderson almost three years prior.
