In order to replace Vincent Kompany, who departed the team this summer to take the helm of Bayern Munich,

Burnley is searching for a new manager.

Frank Lampard, a former manager of Chelsea and Everton, is a candidate for the position and has spoken with Burnley.

Rosenior, though, is reportedly also a serious contender to take over as Burnley’s manager in the future.

Even though Hull City fired the 39-year-old manager at the end of the last campaign, he is still in demand in the Championship.

Many believe he performed an excellent job leading Hull to the brink of the playoffs in the previous season, and he is well-liked by a number of teams.

Rosenior has been contacted by Sunderland regarding their managerial opening, and he is widely seen as the front-runner for the Stadium of Light position.

But Burnley is also an option for the youthful coach, who has refrained from taking on a new position immediately after leaving Hull.

With Premier League parachute payments helping the Clarets, Burnley would have a far larger budget than Sunderland.
