New: Sunderland completes search – Ex-Aston Villa Manager officially appointed the new Manager

Sunderland has been without a permanent head coach for more than 100 days, thus their search for a new manager has truly dragged on.
Over the previous few months, the Black Cats have been associated with a long list of names; nevertheless, they recently lost out to Lens for the top pick, Will Still.

When Pascal Jansen was mentioned, supporters took to the idea of the former AZ Alkmaar coach very swiftly.

But soon after, rumors circulated indicating Sunderland had lost interest in Jansen’s appointment.

Afterwards, Liam Rosenior’s name was everywhere since Hull City fired him a month ago.

The 39-year-old has already had meetings with the Black Cats and was scheduled to have more this week in preparation for the club’s rumored “imminent” appointment.
The Black Cats must close a deal fast to avoid losing out on yet another target, as they will probably find it difficult to compete with Burnley.

Rosenior still might not be Burnley’s first choice, though. Parker has been promoted twice in the last four years, and both Lampard and Parker have prior experience playing in the premier league.

After leaving MKM Stadium, the former Tigers manager has drawn interest, but he has made it clear that he is willing to wait for the perfect chance to present itself.

He won’t be if he still has choices elsewhere.
