The most recent Wolves transfer news is not related to Rodrigo Gomes, according to other reports originating from Portugal.

A source in Portugal claims that Wolves have enquired about FC Porto’s defender David Carmo.

Portuguese publication According to the Record, Wolves and Leicester City, its Premier League rivals, have spoken with the Liga Portugal team about signing the center back.

He recently won the Europa Conference League while on loan with Olympiacos in Greece for the previous six months. Carmo played for an Olympiacos club that won the trophy while maintaining four clean sheets.

Although Carmo‘s contract with FC Porto expires in 2027, Olympicos has the option to purchase the 24-year-old. Olympiacos is eager to sign him again, and a meeting to determine his future will take place this week.

In other news, Wolves have pounced to sign teenage goalkeeper Xander Grieves, according to our friends at The News in Portsmouth.

Grieves, who is 14 years old, needs a transfer fee paid, but Pompey can only get so much because of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
