Celtic has set its sights on Danish goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen to fill the sizable shoes left by Joe Hart, who retired at the end of last season after a trophy-laden stint with the club.

The goalie is currently Celtic’s first pick to take Joe Hart’s spot, according to Stephen McGowan of MailSport.

Currently playing for Sparta Prague, Vindahl Jensen has been Celtic’s top target for the all-important No. 1 spot.

The club is reportedly willing to pay up to £4 million to get his services.

Last week, talks were still going on for the Danish goalkeeper,

but there has been no word on a formal offer or agreement with Sparta Prague or the player.

With his departure, a chapter in Celtic history has come to an end.

Joe Hart CelticIn his three years there, Hart helped the team win two League Cups, a Scottish Cup, and three straight league crowns.

If Vindahl Jensen joins, it will be assumed that he will carry on Celtic’s successful goalkeeping tradition.

The Celtic FC Women’s team also welcomed two new players, but they also announced the departure of two players that helped the team win cups in the past few years and the current SWPL.

Prior to the 2024–2025 season, Shen Mengyu and Shen Menglu will both depart from Celtic FC Women.

The news of their departure was shared on social media by the team.

helping us win two Scottish Cups, an SWPL Cup, and our first-ever SWPL title.

“We can also confirm Shen Menglu’s departure from the Club after two years,

” stated a different tweet. Lu arrived in 2022 and helped us win our first-ever SWPL title as well as the Scottish Cup.
