Joe Hart retired at the end of the previous season, therefore Celtic will need to find a replacement this summer. Hart is

an Englishman. During his three years at Parkhead, he won seven trophies, and he leaves some big gloves to fill.

The team needs to find a substitute for not just his on-field skill but also the leadership and experience he provided.

The majority of supporters think that this summer, Celtic has to sign a long-term goalkeeper. Someone who, for years

to come, will be their top choice.

But may Celtic ultimately resort to calling up another veteran in their quest to locate Hart’s perfect replacement? A

portion of the fan base would not be pleased with that move. However, it may turn out to be a risk worth taking.

Tottenham Hotspur is rumored to be prepared to let Fraser Forster go this summer. Is the goalie planning to return to

Celtic for a third stint before ending his career permanently?

Fraser Forster to Celtic transfer claim emerges

Although it would be difficult to pull off any deals, Chris Sutton seems to think that Forster has “the presence and the stature” to replace Hart in the team. In his Daily Record column, he wrote:

“Regarding keepers, there’s always speculation that Forster may return a third time. I am aware that he enjoyed his stints

at Celtic, and at 36, he may choose to end his career there, just like the outgoing number one. However, he still has a year remaining on his rich Spurs contract, and he will have other alternatives.

“It’s unclear if he would play out of the back in Aaron Rodgers’ manner, but he certainly has the stature and presence to

take Hart’s spot. He would be a good match for this crucial position at the club. To me, it seems like it would be another difficult transaction.”

Of course, if Celtic were to bring Forster back again, it would only be a temporary solution. Furthermore, the majority of supporters would consider it a step backward.

Nonetheless, it’s a choice that shouldn’t be entirely disregarded. Forster has demonstrated his worth at Parkhead.

Signing the Englishman on a short-term contract would not be a bad idea at all if Celtic find themselves in a situation

where they are convinced by the goalkeeping options available to them this summer. Let’s see what comes next.
