He could generate some much-needed income.

It has been reported that Celtic received an initial bid for one of their forwards this summer.

Bhoys keen to strengthen

Despite winning the Scottish Premiership, Brendan Rodgers and Celtic have a busy summer ahead of them.

After a productive loan stint in Glasgow, they are eager to add a striker to their lineup

and are still in talks to sign Adam Idah permanently.

After Joe Hart hung up his boots, the Bhoys will also need to find a new number one,

and they are eager to get Paulo Bernardo on board permanently.

There will also undoubtedly be a number of departures, the first of which might happen soon.

Hyeon-gyu Oh wants out

This is Hyeon-gyu Oh, a marginal player who has had a difficult 18 months in Glasgow.

Brendan Rodgers praised him after he scored his first goal of the season in November, helping Celtic salvage a point.

The manager called him a “superb” professional, and it appeared that his career at Celtic may take off.

According to Rodgers, “the big guy takes his touch and it’s a wonderful finish.” “I’m very happy for him.

“You always have to recognize and acknowledge the guys who aren’t playing as much, and I do that with them.

“He takes excellent care of his body and diet. He’s quite professional;

he considers his background and is confident in his ability to contribute when called upon.”

Hyeon-gyu Oh saw just 10 minutes of action in four months after Adam Idah’s arrival in January,

and he was only included in the squad for three of the remaining 11 Scottish Premiership games.

He was also left out of the team for the Scottish Cup semifinal and final.

Though he still has four years left on his £9,000 per week contract in Glasgow, his future at Celtic Park is gloomy,

especially with just three starts in the top flight to his name last season and Rodgers openly anxious to bring in

another striker (preferably Idah).

Belgian reports now indicate that he has been handed a lifeline.

That’s because KRC Genk reportedly “wishes” to sign the Celtic man for the summer

and has reportedly “made an initial offer” to Celtic for the South Korean,

though they haven’t revealed any specifics of the offer.

As for Hyeon-gyu Oh, he is eager to go in an effort to “revive his career”

and is willing to go to the Pro League this summer, while Genk wants to “close the deal quickly”.

Although Oh played so little last season and is a striker on Rodgers’ wish list, it doesn’t seem sense to block Oh’s

possible move until the price is considered insufficient. Celtic has not yet responded to the offer.
