DONE DEAL-Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have concluded €60 million deal for forward

In order to finish their project rebuild after a very disappointing season that finished with no titles and the firing of manager Xavi, Barcelona has their work cut out for them ahead of the summer transfer window.

Hansi Flick, who was brought in as a substitute, wants Barça to field a competitive team if they hope to challenge Real Madrid, who have added Endrick and Kylian Mbappe to their Champions League-winning La Liga club.

The left-wing spot, which was competed for by Raphinha, Joao Felix, Ferran Torres, and Fermin Lopez the previous season, is one of the main positions of concern.

The left-wing spot, which was competed for by Raphinha, Joao Felix, Ferran Torres, and Fermin Lopez the previous season, is one of the main positions of concern.

Although Nico Williams appears to be their top concern, the board is also working hard to keep Felix on board, something Joan Laporta much values.

The deal is difficult, though, given Barcelona is in dire straits and probably won’t be able to meet Atletico’s demands, who want to recover the majority of the €125 million they paid for his services.
Atletico has specific demands.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Atletico Marid is seeking €50 million for Felix’s services, but Barcelona is pressing for another loan as they are unable to present the club with that offer.

Barcelona does, however, have the advantage since Felix has stated in the public eye several times that he wants to stay with the Catalans.

The Portuguese spoke of his passion for the team as recently as yesterday, declaring, “I love Barça and I want to stay.”

“I’m borrowing money, so it won’t be dependent on me. I’ve always maintained that I want to stay at Barça since it is my childhood club and I adore it. We’ll see what transpires as it depends on a lot of other factors, the speaker continued.

Felix made 30 league games during his season with Barcelona, but he only managed to score seven goals and provide three assists. Barcelona obviously wants him to stay for reasons other than his performances.

Laporta has a history of working closely with Jorge Mendes, his agent, who last summer facilitated the trades for Felix and Joao Cancelo. Thus, it is clear that the transfer has political motivations.

A deal for Williams ought to be Barcelona’s top priority if they were to have any chance of contending with Real Madrid the next season and support Flick in optimizing his strategies.
