Clinton Nsiala, who joins Rangers on a pre-contract from AC Milan, will make his debut on July 1st,

making him the third close-season acquisition for the Scottish Premiership runners-up.

A pre-contract agreement has been reached by Rangers and AC Milan’s Clinton Nsiala.

When he officially joins on July 1, the 20-year-old French defender will become the club’s third summer addition.

Rangers have already brought in Brazilian full-back Jefte and prolonged Oscar Cortes’ loan with a purchase obligation.

In the wake of Celtic’s championship victory last year,

manager Philippe Clement is anticipated to bolster the Ibrox team with a number of recruits this summer.

Nsiala enrolled at the age of six in the Cercle Paul Bert de Brequigny youth programme before moving to Nantes at the age of fifteen.

After spending two years in the Ligue 1 team’s development divisions,

the teenage defender made enough of an impression to be transferred to AC Milan in 2021.

During some of Milan’s Serie A games the previous season, he was also included in the matchday squad,

gaining important experience under manager Stefano Pioli.

Nils Koppen, director of recruitment for the Rangers, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome Clinton, a gifted young player, to the team.

He is an interesting new talent that we think our manager Philippe Clement and his team can help him grow and advance.

“We look forward to welcoming Clinton to Glasgow as we continue to shape the squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.”

When does the summer transfer window open and close?

The Premier League’s summer transfer window for 2024 officially opens on Friday, June 14, the day before Euro 2024 kicks play.

On August 30, at 11 p.m. UK time in England and midnight in Scotland, the window will end.

Deadline Day was introduced by the Premier League in order to connect with the other major European leagues.

After consulting with the leagues in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France, the closing dates were decided upon.
