AC Milan has defeated Newcastle to secure Atalanta star  on a four-year deal.

According to a report,

AC Milan has decided to allow Atalanta extra time to determine whether or not to exercise their option to purchase Charles De Ketelaere.

As per the most recent report from Sky,

Milan has allowed Atalanta to exercise their option to sign De Ketelaere permanently until June 20.

The original deadline,

which was set by league rules, was June 14 at midnight.

Despite having a successful season, Atalanta has not yet acquired the Belgian because the management is seeking a reduction from Milan on the €22 million deal that was reached less than a year ago.

Arriving in Italy during the summer of 2022 as the star player of Milan’s post-Scudetto summer window,

he was loaned to Atalanta in an attempt to regain confidence after failing to score in his Milan debut season.

He scored in every competition he participated in and helped La Dea to a historic Europa League victory under Gian Piero Gasperini, totaling 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

Remember that Sky earlier today stated that the Rossoneri are refusing to offer any concessions on the €22 million agreed upon,

specifically due to the exceptional season and promise he demonstrated?
