After helping the Foxes return to the Premier League with a stellar 20-goal campaign,

Jamie Vardy, 37, has agreed to a new one-year contract with Leicester.

The club legend has told supporters, “The party isn’t over!”

In order to continue with Leicester past the age of 38, Jamie Vardy has agreed to a one-year contract.

On April 30, Mail Sport reported that Vardy and the Foxes had discussed a new deal,

and that a deal had now been agreed to give the 37-year-old another chance to compete in the Premier League.

Vardy’s 20 goals helped Leicester win the Championship the previous season,

and his tenure with the team is among the most memorable in contemporary soccer history.

However, the Premier League must approve the agreement.

It is believed that Leicester must sell players this month to ensure they meet with profitability

and sustainability criteria for the 2021–24 accounting period.

If they don’t follow the guidelines, they risk losing points the following season.

Leicester was not in the top tier the previous season, therefore they were spared a point deduction;

however, the League penalized the team in March for an alleged violation.

The club revealed astounding losses of almost £90 million in April.

Although the departure of big earners such as Kelechi Iheanacho would relieve some of the financial pressure,

they might have to sell their local star, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Brighton is interested in the midfield player, and any transfer money would be considered.
