But there’s a good risk they won’t be able to make it.

According to Relevo, Atleti’s participation in their tour is in jeopardy due to a difficulty with the promoters who arranged the matches in China not paying.

It’s a problem that reportedly also impacted Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

In order to expand their commercial reach in the region,

Atleti plans to look for an alternative in Asia in the event that the scheduled tour of China is unable to proceed.

Club executives are already considering a backup plan.

The good news for Atletico Madrid is that both their scheduled friendly against Manchester City in Sweden and their potential match in Hong Kong remain on the table.

There’s no need to freak out just yet.
