Update emerges on Sunderland’s search for head coach with new name now on shortlist

Alan Nixon had claimed that former AZ Alkmaar manager Pascal Jansen, along with Stockport County manager Challinor and St Mirren manager Robinson, were in the running for the position.

Though there is interest in Jansen, Robinson and Challinor are not currently being considered, according to recent reports.

Michael Graham went on to say that he thought Sunderland was thinking about former Hull City manager Liam Rosenior.

The saga continues

Sunderland needs to make the proper choice this time around since it is clear that they have made mistakes in the last 12 months. Failing to do so will add to the already irate fan base’s dissatisfaction.

Although it has felt that way for some time, it appears inevitable that Sunderland will make an appointment soon.

Fulfilling their potential 

Sunderland boasts a youthful and dynamic team. However, they did not perform well in their 16th place result from the previous season, and they must do better this time around.

Liam Rosenior, who led the Tigers to a top seven finish the previous season, will consider himself unlucky not to have a job. But Hull City decided to take a different approach, and he was fired.

In the past, Rosenior has helped develop young players, thus Hull many City supporters were disappointed to see him go. He might be a fantastic fit for Sunderland, but Jansen has a very strong resume.

The upcoming season will require whoever takes over to start strong because of uncontrollable circumstances. They have been let down by previous bosses, so they will require the proper support in the summer window.

It will be intriguing to watch how the Black Cats fare during the summer. This season, they need to find the proper guy to lead the dressing room in addition to strengthening their playing group. There is little room for error, and all eyes are on Wearside’s decision makers.
