Nottingham forest signs Che Adams, beating other championship rivals
The Reds could surely use more arrivals to bolster their roster, even though they will need to be careful to adhere to profit and sustainability guidelines (PSR).
Now, it appears that Forest will soon acquire a free transfer with significant Premier League experience, which will raise their caliber at the top.
Che Adams is expected to sign with Forest, according to TBR Football sources.
Wolves were reportedly nearing completion on a bid for the Scotland international, as TBR have previously disclosed.
The Southampton forward, who turned down the opportunity to stay longer at St Mary’s, is about to sign a contract with Forest.
The Reds looked to be on the verge of finalizing a deal, despite the fact that this transfer seemed to be touch and go at points.
Adams would provide Forest with much-needed reinforcement, because Taiwo Awoniyi struggled with injuries in the previous campaign.
The “fantastic” 27-year-old, who was born in Leicester, is entering his peak as a striker and may move closer to his family by joining Forest from Southampton. He also has a respectable goalscoring record.
The Scotland international helped Southampton make an instant return to the Premier League last season with 17 goals and six assists in 46 games across all competitions.
Hopefully, this deal will fully cross the line soon enough for an official announcement to be made.
