Newcastle United has a difficult summer budget to balance their books. However, the team will be able to maintain

FFP/PSR safety thanks to Champions League qualification and improved sponsorship deals. According to Sky

Sports, six Premier League teams will have to sell players before the June 30 deadline in order to comply with the

£105 million allowed to be lost over three years.

Leicester City, Aston Villa, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, and West Ham were listed as struggling clubs.

The Magpies now have a red of £146 million for the two years ending with June 2023. However, business deals such

as the £40 million annual Adidas contract or the £25 million Sela sponsorship have not been reported.

When you factor in Champions League football prizes and TV money, Newcastle’s situation is not as dire as initially

thought. Prior to entering the transfer market once more this year, CEO Darren Eales of the Magpies may need to let

go of players. Because they have a trump card, football financial analyst Kieran Maguire believes Newcastle will be in

a “slightly more advantageous” position than other Premier League teams.
