Partick Thistle’s talented attacker Cerian Loney is expected to join with Everton, according to The Athletic.

The news source said on Friday, June 7, via their live blog that the Blues are about to announce the 16-year-old’s

arrival from Partick, a team in the Scottish Championship. The youngest player to ever play for Partick, Loney, is

said to have dazzled Everton’s scouts before making an impression during a trial stay on Merseyside.

The Athletic also report that Loney, who turned 16 in March, was a target for Brighton and other English clubs.

Kevin Thelwell and his group will have undoubtedly done extensive research on Loney, who played just one game for

Partick Thistle in their 4-1 loss to Dundee United last month.

Although it’s always wonderful to see a young player with promise join the team, Loney isn’t likely to be considered
