Jota Makes surprise decision to come bact to Celtic

The 24-year-old is someone Celtic wants to keep, and they would only consider moving him for a big transfer sum.

Jota, who joined Celtic on loan in 2021 before the Glasgow club activated a buyout clause last summer, would owe Benfica thirty percent of any future transfer fee.

Jota, who inked a five-year contract, finished the previous season with 12 assists and 15 goals.

Following their PIF ownership, Al-Ittihad recently recruited N’Golo Kante from Chelsea and Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.

Marco Tilio, a forward for Melbourne City, has reached an agreement to join Celtic.

It is understood that the Hoops intend to finish the transfer this week and are finalizing the paperwork.

The 21-year-old Australian international, who can play center forward and on both sides, would be manager Brendan Rodgers’ second addition since rejoining the team.

For Melbourne City, the A-League winners, Tilio scored nine goals in the previous campaign.

According to Sky Sports News, the club’s board of directors intends to support Brendan Rodgers in the transfer market so he can compete in the Champions League and achieve success at home.

Odin Thiago Holm, a midfielder, has already signed a five-year contract with Celtic. This is Rodgers’ first acquisition since returning to Glasgow, and the Parkhead manager is eager to add additional players.

“It’s a good time to strengthen whenever you have done well,” he stated. There won’t be a lot of figures.

They have assembled a team over the past few years; our task now is to build on that and add quality where we can. The guys on this team are young, and they still have a lot of growing to do. That excites me greatly.”

The SPFL’s 2023–24 season schedule will be announced on Friday, June 30, at 9 a.m. BST.

Every club’s match will be streamed live on our digital platforms starting at 9 a.m., and Sky Sports News will offer an extensive one-hour program focusing on the biggest stories.
