Done Deal: AC Milan has signed Joshua Zirkzee for 14 million euros plus add-ons.

Joshua Zirkzee, a striker for Bologna, would like to sign with AC Milan this summer,

but the transfer is taking longer than expected due to the sums his agents are demanding.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri intend to try to use Zirkzee to take Olivier Giroud’s place, but there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Zirkzee has made it plain that he wants to stay in Italy and advance in Serie A,

so there is no issue with his desire to join Milan.

Milan can afford to pay Bologna since the Rossoneri are willing to meet the €40 million release clause without any issues.

Kia Joorabchian, Zirkzee’s main agent, is the issue. Milan is unwilling to pay the €15 million commission he is requesting in order to complete the transfer.

It is assumed that the agent is trying to get paid more because he or she knows Milan are receiving a good deal with that release clause.

The agent will probably give in on his stance if Milan and Zirkzee remain steadfast,

at which point the transfer will be completed.

On July 1, when the release clause goes into effect for 15 days, Milan is anticipated to pay.
