£30 million Deal: Manchester United midfield maestro, Sofyan Amrabat, finally to join Fulham United on free transfer this summer

Casemiro, Manchester United’s star player from the previous year, has arguably been the team’s biggest letdown this year.

With a third-place league finish, the Brazilian helped the Red Devils qualify for the Champions League and end their trophy drought.

The former Real Madrid star’s sophomore campaign has been much harder, and it appears like he has lost more than a yard of speed.

Manager Erik ten Hag’s decision of playing a high-transition style does not suit the five-time Champions League winner, who has been made to work far too hard and he has struggled to track runners every game.

Amrabat has struggled at Old Trafford

On the day of the deadline, the Dutchman decided to bring in Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina because injuries haven’t helped either.

Fans were eager to watch how this collaboration would play out because the two had collaborated while at FC Utrecht and the Moroccan player had been particularly impressive during the most recent World Cup.

The boss hasn’t used Casemiro much, though, despite the Morocco international’s dismal play—his last Premier League start was in 2023.

The 27-year-old does not appear to be the best suited for the fast-paced English game, and he arrived after missing out on a proper preseason.

Although United can choose to extend Amrabat’s loan, it is unlikely that they will, and a return to Fiorentina appears imminent.

The defensive midfielder has plenty of suitors despite his dismal loan spell; Barcelona and Juventus are just two of the teams watching him.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed that fierce rivals Liverpool remain interested while now, Tutto Mercato Web have revealed Fulham also want the Moroccan.

Fulham eyeing Amrabat

The Cottagers are preparing an offer of €30 million which Fiorentina are ready to accept as they do not want the player back at the club.

“Sofyan Amrabat’s future could still lie in the Premier League. Not at Manchester United as the Red Devils have already made the decision not to buy the midfielder from Fiorentina.

“But there is another English club ready to make an offer to the Viola club. According to what was reported by Sportitalia, Fulham have targeted the Moroccan midfielder and are preparing the official €30 million proposal.”

With a bunch of clubs to choose from, the ball is firmly in Amrabat’s court. He will leave Old Trafford with a feeling of unfulfilled potential considering the frenzy his arrival had generated.
