Now, Pat Bev has added his own perspective to this divisive topic.

Beverley spoke with tight end and three-time Pro Bowler Greg Olsen on a recent episode of The Pat Bev Pod. The two talked about the ongoing controversy that has sparked a variety of responses from the NFL and the NBA.

Beverley once talked about how he used to play football as a child. However, Pat Bev soon came to the conclusion that this sport wasn’t for him after “37 seconds.”

Beverley furthered his argument by saying that even though he was one of the league’s most physical players at the time, he had to give up on football.

However, Olsen presented a compelling argument for some of the best NBA players to play in the NFL. He used Anthony Edwards, a star player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as an example.

Olsen said he could teach Edwards how to be an NFL safety tomorrow with ease. Given that this man is speaking from experience, there is no doubt that his viewpoint is highly respected.

That is another matter entirely, though, whether or not this puts an end to the debate.
