Tenacity Despite promises of an agreed deal, Premier League team needs €11 million extra for signings.

On Tuesday, El Partidazo de COPE reported that Atlético Madrid had reached an agreement with an undisclosed Premier League club for Samu Omorodion.

Later that day, El Desmarque claimed West Ham United had made a €30 million approach for the striker.

Journalist Marcos Durán took to X, now known as Twitter, to share additional information about West Ham’s efforts to buy the 20-year-old during the summer transfer window.

The La Liga club has selected Girona’s Artem Dovbyk as their primary target to bolster their assault, and will need €40 million to obtain his services.

Los Rojiblancos need to raise finances, and Durán thinks Omorodion is one of their potential choices.

According to the journalist, West Ham made an offer for the Spain U21 international worth roughly €29 million plus €10 million in bonuses, which was rejected by Diego Simeone’s side.

Atlético signed the youngster from Granada last summer, allowing him to spend the recently finished season on loan at Deportivo Alavés. The Madrid club will only contemplate his sale if there is a ‘big offer’ in the next transfer window.

Omorodion’s current contract runs until 2028, and Durán claims Atlético will require at least €40 million up front to part ways with him.

If West Ham want to sign Omorodion, they must raise their bid by €11 million. The writer makes no mention of whether Julen Lopetegui’s team will return with a stronger bid.
