Hampshire Live claims that Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers have finalized a transfer fee for

Sunderland to acquire highly sought-after striker Adam Armstrong.

The 24-year-old has reportedly signed a trade agreement with the Saints, who have shown interest in him all summer.

The south coast team has agreed to pay approximately £15 million for the striker,

who cost just £1.8 million when he signed with Newcastle United three years ago.

As per the deal made when he arrived from Tyneside, Rovers will have to split 40 percent of the profit with the Magpies.

The team led by Steve Bruce will make about £5.28m.

The Saints have approved Danny Ings’ £30 million move to Aston Villa.

They appear to be considering many strikers to cover the gap.

Armstrong looks to be joining following a protracted transfer drama.

Additionally, Armando Broja, a Chelsea loanee, is almost certain to join the Saints.

The Saints, who have extra cash to strengthen other positions before this month’s transfer deadline,

have made a wise economic decision.

Rovers may be able to make up for the absence in the interim by loaning out a few attacking additions.

Reda Khadra of Brighton & Hove Albion is certain to be their first summer addition.

They are still considering a short-term agreement for Michael Obafemi, the striker for the Saints. The Republic of Ireland international can show up in a different contract.
