According to the Portuguese news source, Benfica is prepared to let go of the 24-year-old in order to raise

money to keep Joao Neves, who Manchester United is interested in.

Leandro Barreiro is rumored to be Benfica’s current choice to replace Luis.

According to the Record, Benfica wants to sell the Lobito player for €30 million (£26 million) this summer.

Because of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Nottingham Forest might only be able to

afford this amount if sales are made.

During the 2023–24 season, Luis made 45 appearances for Benfica. He had ten yellow cards and did not

contribute to a goal from defensive midfield.

Nuno Espirito Santo may sign his own N’Golo Kante Luis isn’t particularly well-known in the football world,

so some Nottingham Forest supporters might not be familiar with him.

First, Luis was likened to Claude Makelele and Casemiro by Joao Tralhao, a former junior coach at Benfica,

who told Goal that Luis “has the talent and quality to play in elite teams.” Do you recall the days of Real

Madrid’s Galacticos? Makelele was crucial because they needed someone to keep the team balanced.

Casemiro performed that function more recently, freeing up Ronaldo, Modric, and Benzema for attack.

Florentino is capable of those things.
