Fabrizio Romano says ‘special’ player is completing his Celtic medical, after rejecting Rangers

Chelsea will have a busy summer as they try to strengthen their squad and improve after a challenging 2023–24 season.

The Blues had a difficult season last year, spending most of it in the middle of the table. However, they turned things around and finished sixth, earning a spot in the Europa Conference League.

Enzo Maresca, who was previously manager of Leicester City, has joined Chelsea as well to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea appears to be close to making their first summer acquisition.

Tosin Adarabioyo is the player in question; his contract with Fulham ends in a few weeks.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has given an update on Chelsea and Adarabioyo’s current situation.Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers

The defender is “completing his medical today at Chelsea – as planned, all taking place and being signed this week,” the transfer insider told X.

One of the most sought-after free agents in the English market right now is Tosin Adarabioyo.

Since joining Fulham in 2020, he has made 132 appearances, scoring five goals and dishing out two assists.

Adarabioyo is 26 years old and starting to reach his prime as a defender. The 6′ 5in ace is also physically intimidating, quick, and strong.

It is hardly surprising that so many clubs have been vying for such a “special” player, but it appears like Chelsea has emerged victorious in this race.
