Confirmed:Everton set to announce €15m signing for 19-y/o ace striker

According to the club’s official website, Everton has decided to extend the contracts of a number of academy

players this summer, including the highly regarded Roman Dixon.

The club revealed via evertonfc.com [4 June] that 19-year-old Dixon, along with colleagues Bradley Moonan

and Jacob Beaumont-Clark, has been given a new contract at Goodison Park. Should they all agree to terms,

Dixon will play for the United States Under-21 team next season.

The right-back has played for England’s U16 team and has advanced through the Finch Farm ranks since the

Under-12 division.

Everton included a list of the young pros leaving as well.

Kyle John, and Katia Kouyate will leave the club when their current contracts expire at the end of this month.”

“The club has extended an offer to Under-21s defender Roman Dixon, Jacob Beaumont-Clark, and Bradley

Moonan, who will be promoted to Paul Tait’s squad for the upcoming season.”

After the club’s statement, Dixon has a clear road to successful first-team growth according to Everton,

especially considering that highly-rated young players like Lewis Warrington and Mackenzie Hunt have been

shown the departure door.

This season, the teenager has played in 24 games for Paul Tait’s U21 team. Among those games was a like-for-

like replacement for Seamus Coleman, which came after the club captain’s much anticipated return to health

with the younger team in November.

If Dixon chooses to remain on Merseyside, he will have two more seasons to remain eligible for regular PL2

football with Tait’s U21s. This might mean more frequent preseason and season-long involvement with Sean

Dyche’s first team group through 2024–25.

Over the years, many young players have been placed on the bench and given opportunities at Goodison,

and Dixon is aware of regular performances for the academy team and a desire to pick up skills from players

like Coleman.
